About Quiet Zone
Ronan Blee, Founder
I control the entire soundproofing process—assessment, design, and construction. That's why my projects work when others fail. In 26 years solving acoustic problems across NYC, I've learned that most soundproofing fails at the handoff between consultants and contractors. At Quiet Zone, there is no handoff.
The Problem I Saw
Acoustic consultants write reports and walk away. Contractors follow plans they don't understand. When something goes wrong after installation, each blames the other.
I watched this for years: consultants who never had to build what they specified, contractors guessing at solutions without knowing the acoustic principles, clients spending serious money with zero accountability.
The fundamental flaw? Nobody owns the complete result.
I Do It Differently
I assess the problem using precision noise and vibration measurement and analysis. I design the solution using professional acoustic modeling software combined with 26 years of field experience. And I build it with my team, who I've trained personally.
This integrated approach eliminates the disconnect that causes most failures. When I specify a solution, I'm the one who has to make it work. That accountability changes everything.
What I Focus On
Three services. That's it.
Noise Consulting — I measure, analyze, and diagnose. Using calibrated instrumentation, I identify the problem, determine the source, and design the solution.
Residential Soundproofing — Apartments, brownstones, and townhouses across Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Westchester, and Connecticut. Neighbor noise, mechanical systems, subway vibration, and impact transmission. The problems that make homes unlivable.
Recording Studio Construction — Complete acoustic isolation. Room-within-room construction, floating floors, decoupled walls and ceilings. From assessment through final installation.
Why NYC Experience Matters
Twenty-six years in this market means I know the problems you're dealing with: high-rise vibration transmission, subway noise, mixed-use buildings, aging mechanical systems, pre-war buildings, and strict building codes that complicate everything.
This isn't theory. It's experience built project by project across every property type and noise condition the metro area can throw at me.
Who I Work With
I work with clients who value expertise over price. If you're dealing with a serious noise problem and understand that real solutions require real investment, we should talk.
If you want the cheapest option, I'm not your contractor. If you want it done right the first time with complete accountability—then let's discuss your problem.
